He further emphasized that the signal was completely accidental, occurring amid the elation following the team’s last score. “I just showed the wrong finger,” he remarked. “It was accidentally performed. I’m not kidding. If you want to call it unplanned, you can. But it got corrected pretty quick.”

This is not the initial instance an NFL owner has been penalized for inappropriate behavior. Recent cases involve:
