Week six of the 2025 NFL season

Real-time updates includes live text for the weekend matchups via various channels, beginning with Denver Broncos v New York Jets at Tottenham (kicking off at 2 PM BST). Additionally, radio commentary can be heard on designated networks for a separate game (beginning at 9 PM BST).

It's week six of the football calendar and following last week's discussion regarding two top teams as a potential Super Bowl match-up, they both lost their perfect starts.

Notable in those games was the amount of infractions each committed. Philadelphia committed them in key moments meaning they kind of defeated themselves having led 17-3 going into the final quarter against the Denver Broncos, who play overseas this weekend.

However it was good to observe that Denver quarterback the rookie managed to overcome that deficit and then direct three scoring drives on three possessions during the final period, securing the game 21-17.

Denver boast the defensive player of the year with CB their star corner. They rank number one in red zone defence, while the Eagles are number one in scoring near the end zone, and Denver won that battle.

They had effective strategies in terms of disguised blitzes. They weren't always rushing more than four defenders but they might plug two LBs in the 'A' gap before withdrawing them and send a nickel from the outside.

Early on in the campaign, we said during a show that Denver might emerge as the current year's dark horses. They finished the previous year strongly then did a good job in continuing that momentum.

Could Denver be this season's underdog story?

New TE their tight end has excelled significantly while recent RB JK Dobbins is a player they believe in. He's currently 5th league-wide for rushing yards (over 400) and tied-fourth for rushing touchdowns (four).

It's impressive that the coach Sean Payton has "RUSH!" prominently on his call sheet.

That shows that Denver represent a team aiming to prioritize the run, because you can do a lot off the back of that. It reduces down the pass rush while keeps you in favourable situations.

This has benefited quarterback the young passer, who entered into the league as a first-round selection in the prior draft, throwing 29 TDs – just behind Justin Herbert for the rookie record (31 in 2020).

Josh Allen and Herbert possess the arm strength to pass all over, but they lack in the same way that Nix has. He boasts exceptional passing ability, a unique trait, and he is so athletic.

His strengths are his mobility, the capacity to throw on the run, as well as using varied release points to deliver the pass when he rolls outside protection, the bootlegs. He is able to throw precision throws across the middle and over the corner.

For a young quarterback, at 25, he's got great composure in the pocket and is not bothered by extra rushers. He tries to evade a sack as much as possible and can throw under pressure. He possesses sharp intelligence and remains quick to decide.

When you consistently rush it eats up time and makes the opponent to stay on the field for longer, and when you have an athletic quarterback the defence must defend the area vertically side to side. This proves draining.

Nix has pushed back with the coach during games sometimes and it seems the coach appreciates that fire, that he's such a competitor. In my view it's exciting for him to coach a rookie QB who's kind of like moldable clay. The coach can truly develop him the way he wants to build it. I believe it's a unique opportunity for the coach.

The head coach owns a Super Bowl and now passed a legend for career NFL wins (173 - tied 14th overall). He's seen it all. In my opinion the success Denver are having on offence is largely due to his guidance, his schemes, his game sense – and the combination with Nix helps make him into who he is.

You wouldn't want a more qualified person in your ear, to help you through some of the tougher situations and boost confidence.

I believe in the Broncos' defense, in Bo Nix's tenacity and composure. But are they good enough to go against a top squad at its best? Since that was not a Super Bowl performance by the Eagles in their last game.

Currently, I don't think Denver are incredible. They're working above average, which is a good place to hold the AFC West. All they need is is maintain this path.

They're really good at embracing their forte, that is the ground game, and this is precisely what they must do versus the New York Jets at Tottenham. It's going to be the JK Dobbins show, essentially.

The Jets have surrendered 140 rushing yards each contest (among the worst), five rushing touchdowns so far (10th worst), and they are the sole squad yet to win a game.

Since the league began tracking takeaways in 1933, the Jets are the first team to be without a single takeaway through five games, this is surprising considering that the head coach Aaron Glenn defensive co-ordinator at the Detroit Lions.

Patrick Mahomes says the Chiefs are off to a poor start following a recent loss by the Jaguars.

Following this Sunday's game, Denver have a manageable slate up to their bye (in week twelve) - the New York Giants, Dallas Cowboys, Houston Texans and the Raiders prior to the Chiefs.

In the AFC West, the Chiefs are 2-3 while Denver are even with the Chargers at 3-2 meaning they could make a run for the top of the West.

It depends on what version Kansas City shows up they face because Denver {beat|def
