Jurgen Klopp states rejoining to lead Liverpool is plausible in theory.

Jurgen Klopp, who departed from Anfield in 2024, indicated that a future comeback is a possibility. Klopp, following a hugely successful nine-year spell that included Champions League success and the Premier League crown in 30 years, currently occupies positions as head of global soccer within the Red Bull organization and in an advisory capacity to Germany's league body.

Supporters’ Hopes and Klopp’s Candid Remarks

Liverpool won the league title last season, but many fans who revere Klopp would welcome the idea that he may eventually return. In a wide-ranging interview, he told his interviewer: “I said I refuse to lead another team on English soil. So that means in case it's my former club...yeah. Theoretically it’s possible.”

“At 58 years old, that means I could make the decision down the line, I don’t know. Must I choose now? If so, I wouldn't return. Fortunately, it's not necessary. I can just see what the future brings.”

What Would Lure Him Back?

When asked about which situations must arise to tempt his return to management, he confessed he feels no immediate pull to such a return. “I don’t even know exactly, I love what I do right now,” he stated. “I don’t miss coaching; No desire to be in the rain through long matches; I'm glad to skip media briefings repeatedly each week or having 10-12 interviews a week.

“I don’t miss the dressing room per se, however, dining out alongside the squad having a nice chat, I appreciate that. Success was frequent so there was often great spirits in the building. Remaining with me is the captain's chuckle vividly recalled for example.”

Commending Arne Slot

Klopp was full of praise regarding Arne Slot, praising him due to the changes which secured the championship in the previous season. The team has suffered four consecutive matches in every contest post heavy investment, though he denied the notion of it representing a decline.

“[Liverpool have] a top-class attacker in Flo[rian] Wirtz, doubters will be silenced if you use the wrong words. An outstanding player. The French striker, excellent performer. This is a well-built thoughtfully assembled roster. No need for concern about Liverpool, things will improve.”

Emotional Tribute for Diogo Jota

He shared movingly on the loss of the Portuguese star, a player he signed during his tenure, and the effect at the club. The forward lost his life in a road accident together with his sibling recently.

“Can you substitute such an individual? It goes beyond his footballing ability, it’s the guy he was. I can’t imagine the team environment missing him. I still cannot speak properly regarding this. A devastating blow for his teammates as well. No one within the club will ever use it to justify results but it is the situation. Entering the changing area where he was omnipresent. Dealing with that on a personal level is not easy. Overwhelming.”
